Anyway, it's the San-no-maru gate of Saiki castle. Saiki is a town in Ōita, western Kyūshū & one of my friends' hometown. A friend of mine from when I was living in Japan was particularly fond of manhole covers and inspired me to keep any eye out for interesting ones.
