See Japan's castles the easy way

Suncheon Castle

I put out the call asking if anyone had visited Suncheon Castle (built in Korea by Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s invading armies) and if it were possible to get my hands on a picture. Lucky for me Simon Bond, a Suncheon resident & photographer, has sent me these sensational pictures. What do you think?

There is a full profile page for Suncheon Castle. Or on the map here

On the topic of Waeseong in general, I have been able to locate seven of these castles using the Explorer itself. Here is what is left of Ungcheon Castle. Zoom in to see the stone walls that remain and zoom out to see the tiny harbour (at least what is left of the harbour after land reclimation) to the north it once protected.
